Still waiting for more exciting images to add depth to the game! My artist is spending a semester in South Korea this fall, so hopefully it won't affect the game work too much. It has been confirmed that a stand-alone demo version of the game will be released, once the instruction manual and all necessary images to do so are completed (early October). The third continent is about 50% completed and work has begun on an OFFICIAL strategy guide for the game!
The third continent offers a lot of new and unique challenges to the game including wandering characters, completely different puzzles to solve, new action style mini-games, and much, much more! Keep checking back for more screenshots and updates!

Monster images have begun to arrive! Currently nine of the monsters have finished forms in the game and many more are on their way! Check out the cool battle screenshots that have been added!
There are also tentative plans to release a stand-alone demo version of the game sometime in early fall of 2009 with the full (unlockable) version of the game to follow near the end of the year. The stand-alone demo would not be able to become to full version of the game, but would give gamers a good taste of what 'Excellent Quest: The Legend of Lyathon' is all about!

Beta testing is well underway and going well! Currently have five dedicated testers who have helped me implement very useful changes and gameplay improvements! The first and second continents are both 99 + % complete and beta testing of the second continent is beginning.
I have finally found someone to create monster images for the game and this has begun as well. The second continent does not take as long as the first to play through, but it is much more themed. I feel like gamers will get a more fulfilling experience from playing this area as there are tons of unique puzzles and temples, along with some MAJOR storyline developments which occur. There are also some of the more unique items and spells aquired in the second continent.
Still hoping to release the game in early fall of 2009, though it's looking like it won't be before the beginning of October. Keep looking for more updates!

Currently working on finishing touches to the first continent and building the cities and dungeons for the second continent. Second continent physical construction is complete (along with the World Map), and still plan to have a total of five continents.
When I test play, if I'm trying to just fly through the first continent to the point where I could sail the ocean to another one, it takes me about four hours (and I know exactly what I'm doing). Playing through the first continent will probably take between five to eight hours, but could take over 12 with all the side quests I have planted already.
Hopefully I will soon start having some dedicated testers checking the game out for me so far, so I can get some good constructive feedback for improvements and also a better basis for the estimated game times. I am hoping for the total game to take between 30 to 35 hours to complete.
